About Fellowship

Mission Statement and Beliefs Statement summarize our focus: Fellowship has always been "a family affair" - in worship, doing God’s work for others, laughing and having fun together, and "taking care of business" when operating the church.

Fellowship - worshipping together in a joyful way and including everyone. Members read lessons, help with communion, setup the altar, bake the bread, read prayers. Fellowship is about its people. Children leave for Sunday School during the service. The last Sunday of each month has been designated as Fellowship Sunday - mix, mingle, eat (treats provided by the Women’s Group) Currently, one service at 9:30 am, followed by Adult Bible Study - topic of study determined by the group.

Contemporary, Non-traditional Atmosphere - a place for those disillusioned or unchurched; a place for all in a non-threatening atmosphere and unobtrusive building.

Confirmation for Middle School Age - families and pastor set the schedule. Confirmation Sunday we all celebrate.

Baptism incorporated as part of Sunday worship with special songs and support from all members

Special Occasions - Ash Wednesday, Maunday Thursday, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Children - they matter a lot and we think of them as belonging to all of us. All ages share in communion and may assist in serving.

Finances - income generated primarily from: offerings, Kinder Kampus Daycare Center, House Rental, fundraisers, special funds (created at various times for different reasons - as need dictates)

1. Kinder Kampus - the "Fellowship Family Business" was begun by Fellowship members 30+ years ago per a Synod directive, as a community outreach effort and as a funding source for mission congregations. It has continued to thrive under a very capable staff. We maintain our presence through a Board of Directors and a Coordinator, but K.K. is a separate corporation and it has never been a "church nursery school." Nevertheless, nursery parents have joined Fellowship and Fellowship members have been nursery employees. Our nurturing environment holds great appeal.

2. Fundraisers - take various forms - bowling, parties, garage sales, working at Pine Knob or the Palace, a golf outing. Whatever is needed, we do.

3. Special Funds - Birthday Fund, Memorial Fund, Sunday School Fund, Kitchen Addition Fund (others as need arises)

4. Expenses - salary, mortgage, building improvements as needed. Our approach has always been a conservative one. We believe the church is its people, not the building. Volunteers handle church business. We maintain a simple structure because we believe our major commitment is outreach to others - projects are continuously being adopted. We are involved in "doing" as well as "giving."
